I started getting into Lynotherapy in 2011/2012. I was intrigued with the idea of LYNO. The treatment looked at and dealt with imbalances in the body which not only cause injuries and pain but also result in a loss in performance for an athlete in any sport.

A friend from my running club heard what I was doing and asked if I would be prepared to see if I could help his 10 year old son. His son was suffering from scoliosis. His spine was curving and his legs were bowing. At the tender age of 10 when one should be running around, jumping and taking part in sports he could hardly walk, let alone run.

At that point I had yet to do a LYNO session on a young body but I knew that no harm could come from giving it a try and seeing if we could get a positive response. Over a few months I worked with this young man, doing a LYNO assessment and release every two to three weeks as the assessment dictated. In between the LYNO sessions I had him do specific strength work again according to the areas showing up as weak in the assessments.

Within a few weeks he was able to start running and I could already see improvement in the shape of his body. By the end of that year this 10 year old was like a straight pole. The curve in his spine and the bowing legs were gone and he was able to take part in athletics, cross country and soccer.

I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to be part of this young man’s life and development at that stage in his life. Seeing people of all ages respond in amazing ways through Lynotherapy is a very rewarding experience.
